BRLD wins playoff opener

Lucas Vogt makes such an impact whenever he steps foot on a football field. There was no denying how much of a difference-maker Vogt was for Bancroft-Rosalie/Lyons-Decatur in their 39-21 win over Wilber-Clatonia during the opening round of the Class C2 state football playoffs Friday evening in Bancroft.

Vogt, who missed the past three games due to an injury, returned in a big way. The junior wide out gave BRLD a huge spark as he hauled in 10 passes for 172 yards and two touchdowns.
