Cadet running back Treven Weddle finds some room to run late in the game during West Point-Beemer’s 34-20 loss to Wayne.

Big plays from Wayne’s offense, especially their passing attack, sparked the Blue Devils to a 34-20 win over West Point-Beemer at Wayne State College Friday night.

West Point-Beemer struck first when senior quarterback Riley Penrose broke free on a 4th-down play for a 44-yard touchdown run. But it was all Wayne the rest of the way as two long TD passes of 49 and 33 yards lifted the Blue Devils to a 20-6 halftime lead.
