Most agricultural land values in Cuming County held steady from 2019 to this year, figures shared with the West Point News by the Cuming County assessor’s office show.

Land values went up in one market area but remained mostly steady in the three other areas.

The new land values were set as of Jan. 1 and were based on three years’ worth of land sales, from Oct. 1, 2016 through Sept. 30, 2019. Sales since Oct. 1, 2019, are not included in the figures used to set this year’s values.
