The Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to impact day-to-day life across the United States and locally with the closure of schools, senior citizen centers, nursing homes, as well as a change in how other public entities conduct business. The Wisner-Pilger School District and Bancroft-Rosalie School District made the decision Monday to close their schools for the next two weeks starting on Tuesday.
“The school has to be a good partner with our community. We are the largest employer in town. We need to balance the education of our students with ensuring their health and safety. We need to do our part as a school to help limit the spread of the Coronavirus by closing down at this time,” said Wisner-Pilger Superintendent Chad Boyer.
