The Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department’s risk dial shows Cuming County has climbed from the “moderate” into the “elevated” range based on COVID-19 positive tests. For the week ending Sept. 28, the county moved from 2.0 on the four-point scale to 2.25.
Melanie Thompson, ELVPHD emergency response coordinator, said that the upward trend in Cuming County mirrors what health officials are seeing in the district, statewide and regionally. She said contact tracing indicates the cases appear to be coming from various gatherings and locations.
