The Cuming County Courthouse will likely be closed through the month of May, the Board of Supervisors said last Wednesday when it met for day two of its April meeting.

Although no vote was taken, the consensus of the board was to have the courthouse offices continue to operate the way they have since late March. That means entrances to the courthouse will remain locked and county employees will report to work as directed by their department supervisor.
