Dan Bossow has assisted with several community fund-raisers over the years, but he never thought he’d be the focus of one. Bossow suffered a debilitating stroke in September 2020, and now the community is pulling together to help him cover his medical expenses.

A fundraiser for Bossow is planned for Jan. 31. It will start at 11 a.m. at the Wisner VFW and will feature “tractor pull” ribeye steak sandwiches, chips and a cookie or bar. Eat in, with COVID restrictions, or carry out will be available. Freewill donations will be accepted for the meal. A raffle will also be held that will give away two beef halves and a pork.
