The latest Coronavirus guidance from Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health (ELVPH) sets a limit of 10 on gathering sizes for churches, restaurants, bars and for daycare providers. All of ELVPH’s announcements were based on recommendations from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to Gina Uhing, ELVPH director.
In addition to social distancing recommendations, Uhing described a “severe” shortage in the ability of labs to process Coronavirus tests.
“This means that commercial labs and Nebraska Public Health Lab are overloaded beyond capacity and have an accumulation of tests waiting to be processed. This is due to too many tests being done on non-qualifying individuals.”
