On Thursday, April 9, Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department received confirmation of the first COVID-19 case in Burt County.
“This case was a woman in her 70s with travel history. ELVPHD initiated the contact investigation. Household contacts are self-quarantining per our department’s recommendations,” a news release noted.
Because community spread has not been declared in Burt County, the public should be advised that one public point of exposure was noted with this confirmed case. Anyone with a common location and time exposure should self-monitor for COVID-19 symptoms through April 14: Tekamah Dollar General April 1 at approximately 11 a.m.
