Completing advance directives — legal documents that instruct physicians on how to carry out a person’s medical decisions – is one of the most important things that adults should do.

Michaela Flick, Social Worker at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point, says adults, regardless of their health status, should have an advance directive form on file at home and with their health care provider.
