After a year-long remodeling project, the Wisner City Auditorium will open its new doors to the public on Sunday for the Annual Fire and Rescue Soup Fundraiser.
The remodeling project cost $1.2 million, with the city of Wisner contributing $100,000 of that through infrastructure sales tax dollars, according to Randy Woldt, Utilities Superintendent and interim City Administrator. The rest of the project cost was paid for through grants and donations. The last time the 63-year old building had any major work done on it was in 1996.
