It was 10 years ago in June when high rains created flooding along the Elkhorn River to such an extent that the water washed out the south approach to the river bridge south of Beemer.

Money has been set aside to help pay for a new bridge and plans have been drawn, and with any luck the bridge project will be let for bids yet this fall.
