Battling heat and wind, scores were a bit higher than normal for several golfers at the Stanton girls golf invite last Thursday (September 1). And West Point-Beemer was among that group.

“A lot of golfers, including our girls, struggled with the hot and windy conditions,” Cadet head coach Danny Fernau said. “Overall, each of our golfers had two or three bad holes that really affected their score.

That being said, Fernau is pleased with what he saw at the Stanton tourney.

“I am seeing improvement in their shot-making, and I’m proud of how they battled the tough conditions,” Fernau said.
