West Point-Beemer volleyball got a much-needed boost of confidence thanks to their first wins of the season during the NEN Classic Saturday at Wisner.

The Cadets finished 2-1 in the Bronze Division of the tournament. Wins came over Wayne and Tekamah-Herman. Their lone loss on Saturday came to Guardian Angels Central Catholic.

“It was very nice to get a couple of wins under us. We needed that to get over the slump we were in,” Cadet head coach Olivia Schneider said. “That was a very good way to end that week, and I think the girls are ready to go as we head into our games this week.”

West Point-Beemer celebrated its homecoming the night before, but came ready to compete.
